ABOUT ME
I am one of those people who get excited about all the little things, I love details, handmade items and love it when real thought that has been put into creating something special. It’s those weddings where the brides (and Grooms) put so much thought into making their special day uniquely “THEM”.
It is such a great honour to film or photo someone's wedding, and if you are super excited about your big day, believe me, I will be too!
I am a husband, a father of two children and for years built up a career in IT. Back in 2015, I started looking into Wedding Photography and film-making while my wife Fiona set up her Newborn photography business. This meant I came to a decision to turn a hobby into a business and spend more time together as a family.
From this, it meant “A Lasting Impression” was born!
A SIMPLISTIC APPROACH TO WEDDINGS
HOW I WORK
My approach to filming or photographing weddings are simple. Keep it simple and discreet. I use small, silent cameras to respect the environment of a wedding day, for both you and your guests. Generally, no one will even know they are being filmed. I’ll dress the part and I’ll blend in, there’s no direction, posing or cameras pointed in faces, I truly believe that through my relaxed approach, I’m not only able to deliver, but will ultimately be able to provide the most natural, intimate and emotive results.
USING MINIMAL EQUIPMENT
I shoot for 90% of the time with a single small camera and just a couple of lenses giving me that creative freedom. This allow me to merge into the day and enjoy every minute as I have no complicated rigs or big fluffy microphones getting in the way. So, whether it’s the small amount of equipment I use or my positioning during a wedding ceremony, my philosophy is to have as little of an impact on your wedding day as possible.
